San Jacinto - Peter Gabriel
snooze the dead
in the dark corridor of night
light that wanes knows
the face
The terrace of ferns and ivy to the lunar ray succint
recalls the bronzed idols
Wet streets of town old, love that faces presence
against absence. Dull streets of incontable faces
I couldn't find you
Worlds, bars, desolate corners,Times to
the fruitless wells of liquor and spices
He walks symbol or death itself towards
you, beside you to
contemplate the ivy evergreen
Death that memory embodies along
the corridors of night at
streets that pain evict
It's in you, the dark mauve light your body emulsify on
the gloomy thalamus of night as on turbid lake
A soft smile of evening star
shimmers early trill to
break dawn
