Shishkin, Wind Fallen Trees, 1888

you've felt the wind
a thousand times through
your limbs,
swirling up the trunk, on the humid ground swinging in a green, grey, blue choreography
of branches, stamina, menacing crackles through your ears,
your head, your eyes
taking away the cloudy shadows
of your heart
